Cal4Wheel has submitted joint comment letters opposing the Oceano Dunes District Habitat Conservation Plan, which threatens to close significant portions of the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area to off-highway vehicle use. Cal4Wheel members and allied organizations submitted detailed technical comments challenging the scientific basis of the HCP and advocating for continued OHV access to this iconic California recreation area. This action is part of Cal4Wheel’s ongoing effort to protect public land access for responsible off-highway recreation throughout California.
